It has been an a year since my mum retired from her teaching career and she got an interest in farming and she is planning to farm the backyard garden since it is the only available, I was searching for a good book to guide her on this and this was heaven sent as it has all what she required to know. I saw that she bought some tool and has prepared the land as it was described in the book.The book is well written and detailed and has good information all in one. My mum is happy that I got her this book and she will be using it for reference. I highly recommend this book to all that have interest in farming and more especially backyard farming. If you know nothing of gardening this is a good little book for you. I garden a bit and picked up a couple tips but this is for absolute beginners. Starts with a good comprehensive list of tools. The garden vegetables covered are not an expansive list; but they are the most common that produce well. I have tried and researched several less common vegetables and have often concluded, with my limited back yard, that I would get one or two meals from the crop. So this book is well designed for the beginner, covering the production/common garden vegetables. Getting this book on loan via Prime I was happy with this little read.
Not worth paying for the information included here. All advice available online elsewhere. This is not detailed enough to be of use.

So very simple.
I have my own Backyard farm for several months now and I really need a book like this to educate me with new knowledges to keep it healthy, clean and can sustain me food supply. Being into this hobby is not an easy task because I need to be guard my garden away from pest to keep it healthy and nutritious. Reading a book like this introduces me to new techniques and strategies which I could greatly use in my backyard farming.
